| Q. Can the Relationship Model™ benefit secular organizations?
A. Yes, definitely. Because the values, structures and processes of the Model reflect common sense, the Model can be applied with equal effectiveness in faith-based and secular organizations.
Q. What is the basis of the Relationship Model™?
A. The Relationship Model™ results from research into what produces productive and fulfilling relationships. The Hebrew, Greek and Roman cultures as recorded in the Bible provide a rich source of successful and unsuccessful relationships for research. Another source of relationships is the large body of organizational and church experience available for study. Thus, the resulting model is not someones good idea but a conceptual framework based on universal truth and experience. The model invites the scrutiny of all to verify the validity of the Relationship Model™.
Q. Is it possible to apply the Relationship Model™ in part of the organization but not all of it?
A. Yes, for example, it is possible for the board to use the Relationship Model™ for its governance without the CEO choosing to apply it to management. (Governance is likely to be more productive and fulfilling than management in that case.) In fact, an individual anywhere in the organization can apply the values, structure and processes to his/her relationships. Because the Relationship Model™ is based on universal common sense, it works in any individual relationship. The more widely the Relationship Model™ is applied, however, the more efficiently will the benefits be realized. |
